After watching Kyle’s voice thread The Cost of Knowledge, I learned about how when Wikipedia provided the information they include sources for people to verify the information listed but not everyone has access to these sources and they all arent free. This is why we should value our Wake Forest Library because they allow us to have access to many of these articles and journals by them subscribing to them so we don’t have to. I also learned about the cost of subscriptions to these academic journals, this was something I was surprised by because I thought these subscriptions only cost a few hundred only to find out they cost a few thousand. Also how costly are the databases and articles are for the science department, but I understand those are the cost that needs to be paid for the credibility of the science degrees from Wake Forest.
